Following the online casinos boom sweeping across Scandinavia, online casinos and sports betting site Game Bookers has just launched a brand new version of its site in Swedish. The Swedish site becomes the eleventh language version developed by the popular online casinos firm following the recent release of similar sites in Russian and Polish.
The online casinos firm’s decision to target Swedish casino players came after online poker proved a huge success in the Scandinavian market. In particular, Swedish casino players have made the game of online poker their number one choice at online casinos all over the world. Chief executive of Game Bookers, John O'Malia, stated that the Swedish online casinos site is the first move of many that the firm plans to take in the Scandinavian gambling market.
Sweden’s gambling industry was also given an extra boost last month when the Swedish government launched its first state-run sports betting and online casinos firm, Svenka Spel. While gambling at online casinos still faces ongoing legality issues in Sweden, industry insiders point to a traditional laissez faire approach on the part of legislators, who have quick to recognize the benefit of taxation revenue online gambling can provide.
